NEW STYLES in COMMUNICATION. ECES, PARENTS and TWITTER

How many of us use Twitter to communication with parents now?

Quick messages or notices, written sound bytes we used to tuck into lunch bags, post at the sign in book, or highlight on the bulletin board?

Twitter feeds have become an 'ongoing newsletter' for parents and their classrooms, and a stopping ground for parents to be able to keep up with what's happening.  Some parents keep the classroom feed open on their desktop for a blow by blow of the day.  Daunting?  Yup?  Some ECEs feel the pressure to 'tweet' every hour on the hour.

Others enjoy being able to shout out some highlights at the end of the day.

Do you use Twitter in your centre or school to communicate with parents?
