SHARED READING EXPERIENCES WITH CHILDREN

Children learn to read in two ways:  natural and artificial.

Interactive and shared reading experiences are natural ways of teaching children to read, and they hold the key to unlocking a child's language and communication development.

Teachers can guide children's reading development through shared reading goals: showing children that stories have meaning, and realizing what that meaning is.
