We spend fifteen minutes with Sara Reesi, the director of the program, who told us all about the exciting and innovative Ridgewood Program, located in Perth, Ontario.

We operate in a 190 acres of wilderness and preserved land. A pristine environment to learn, play and heal in nature!

100% outdoor wilderness and educational experiences for children, families, educators, and the community: The property features a seasonal creek, a fenced pond, meadows, trails, a fenced garden, a beaver pond, a great variety of rocks and minerals,   wild gardens, a variety of trees, flower gardens,  medicinal plants, raspberry bushes, apple and pear orchards, and much more! A sacred Land!

In the middle of the wilderness: We have 2 tree house type "outdoor class classrooms"/playrooms. Approved by the City of Ottawa each with a wood burning stove, compost toilet, and much more

Our office is located in a cabin: An artist in residence painted on the outdoor of the cabin a beautiful nature scene!

Ridgewoods operates in the property of Carp Ridge Ecowellness Center in Carp: A Natural path clinic and IV clinic

Students are welcome to do their placement at Ridgewoods Outdoor Programs and in the nature Preschool and Kindergarten, and /or other programs
